Pablo Escóbar Ascarrunz is a partner of Estudio Gerke since 2017. His practice is mainly focused on commercial law in international business issues, mergers and acquisitions, contracts and investments. Additionally, he provides legal advice on civil law, conciliation and arbitration and international commercial arbitration. Escóbar obtained a Masters of Laws in Comparative Law Degree at the University of Miami, School of Law, Coral Gables, Florida in the United States in 2009, where he was a Dean’s Merit Scholarship student. Later, he obtained a Diploma in International, Commercial and Investment Arbitration at American University, Washington College of Law, in Washington D.C., United States in 2015. Registered in the La Paz Bar Association since 2007 and the Public Registry of Lawyers of the Ministry of Justice of Bolivia since 2015. After graduating with honors from Universidad Católica Boliviana "San Pablo" in 2007, among others he worked as Legal Executive in Banco Nacional de Bolivia’s Financial Group and later as Assistant General Counsel in the telecommunications company Nuevatel PCS de Bolivia S.A. Currently, in addition to being a Partner of Estudio Gerke, he teaches Contracts at Universidad Católica Boliviana "San Pablo" and is the Corporate Comptroller (Síndico) at Nuevatel PCS de Bolivia S.A. Previously he was a professor of Subjects of Law at the same University and was a Director and Secretary of the Board at Nuevatel PCS de Bolivia S.A.
